Pete, it was caught between Boulanger Point and the weedbed just before the channel that leads into Sheridan Park resort. That is the western tip of Big Island in the background... |

Sorry, boys, but it was digitally weighed to the 100th of a pound and came out at 6.31 pounds. This pic doesn't do it justice, there is another pic of it side by side with a five pounder that is more impressive. Would a fisherman lie? :) |

Both caught on olive wooley buggers. Eight more were caught of this size and released that day. However, these trout do not reproduce in this lake, they are stocked each year. If they were wild producing, none would be kept... |

Fish caught at Simon Lake in the Cariboo of British Columbia, caught on olive wooley buggers. The lake winter-killed last winter and all these trophies succumbed. It will take at least four years to get them back to this size. |
